I pass by this cottage ruin on my way to Fanore every time I go there which is very often as I love to walk the beach and to paint there.
I often wonder what became of whoever lived there, did they immigrate and never returned home, or is it there from Famine times when people moved to the sea temporarily in order to survive, who knows?
However it makes a very interesting subject to paint set against the backdrop of the Burren!!
