Crab Island , Doolin. Oil on canvas.
Doolin is one of my favourite places to paint.I have made dozens of paintings there, the sea and the rocks offer lots of interesting and challenging subjects.
Crab Island sits just out of DoolinBay. There is a tiny ruin on the island which one can see in the painting , some say it is the remains of a monastery but I’m not sure about that, anybody out there know?
